Dominic McGuire stepped up his game tonight!!
McGuire nearly got a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 9 boards. He also recorded a steal and dished out 2 assists. He did all of that with 26 minutes of playing time.
Great effort today Dominic!
Curry and Lee were the only ones that caught fire in tonights loss against the Sixers.
At first it seemed as if the Warriors could weather the storm, but it soon became evident that without a leader and a high caliber scorer like Monta, it would be very difficult. I was really hoping for Ish Smith and Brandon Rush to have a repeat night, but it just didn’t happen.
It’s just one game and it’s still early in the season. The Warriors have more games to play and they definitely can grow as a team. I say shrug off this loss and focus on the next game. The team is still 2-2!
Im not gonna dwell on what happened in tonights loss because I know the kind of team the Warriors are. When everyone is healthy and playing, I believe Warriors will be a force to be reckoned with in the NBA.
Nightly Notables!
In the first half, Ish Smith (left) took the reins of the team and gave a great performance both offensively and defensively against the Knicks! This man has great handles and can get into the paint whenever he desires. He seems to be a great pick up for sure. Lets see what else this man can do as the season continues!
If he becomes more consistent, he can be a solid guard, giving both Monta and Stephen enough rest to be even more productive when late pushes are required.
Brandon Rush (right). What can I not say about this man. He really stepped up his game to keep the Warriors in the hunt to catch up. I take my hat off to his willingness to keep on going until the play is dead. He never seemed to give up. He played a very smart game and was a force tonight on both ends of the floor. I can’t wait to see who he blocks next!
He is tonights electrifying player of the game. Let his numbers do the talking. Nuff said!
Great coaching tonight Coach Jackson!
Warriors straight denied the Knicks tonight!!!
Amazing team effort in shutting down one of the strongest front court basketball teams in the league!
If it wasn’t for their stingy defense, the Knicks would have made this game much more difficult to hang given the Warriors poor first half shooting performance. Their collective defensive effort kept the Warriors in the game!
Big ups to McGuire’s defense! I’ve never seen Melo struggle so much!
It was tough watching Monta shoot so cold in the first half, but one thing that I really liked was seeing his growth as a leader and watching him utilize his other skills rather than giving up!
He never put his head down because he knows that he can contribute in other ways to win the game. Once he was put in the point guard position, the Knicks could not stop him.
MONTA OWNED THE FOURTH QUARTER! Scoring 22 points (12 of which was in the fourth), and dished out 8 assists.
GREAT FINISH MONTA!
If you haven’t seen it already….it’s a must see!
This is an amazing commercial that combine the great NBA legends to the great players of the game today!
I love the match-ups!!!
Warriors Came Out to Play - Bulls @ Warriors, December 26, 2011
Even after recording his first win, coach Jackson was humble and showed no signs of cockiness having beat one of the best team in the league! I respect that!
It was a great overall effort from the team, including the bench (except Jenkins and Tyler). They paid very close attention to the details of the Bulls offense and played against that.
Curry, Monta, and Lee combined for 69 points tonight!
Curry did hurt his ankle late in the game, but he did return to the bench unassisted wanting to play. Coach Jackson kept him out thinking about the future games. Great move, coach Jackson.
Coach Jackson preaches that defense wins games, and today they forced 20 turnovers on the Bulls!
They played an amazing game tonight. Great job Warriors!
